How we can help you
Nutrition & Dietetic Consults in-person & online
We provide affirming and inclusive care for the body you have today. Not the body you had yesterday, last week, ten years ago or the body you hope to have tomorrow or the next day.
We recognise that a persons body size is not an indicator of health, motivation, personal character, or “commitment” to eating well and engaging in exercise.
Our dietetic and nutrition practices are guided by the Health at Every Size® tenants of care and utilise a Non-Diet Approach™. You can read about both of these practice philosophies in more detail here and on our FAQ page here.
Eating Disorder Recovery
We offer compassionate nutrition rehabilitation for patients seeking eating disorder recovery.
- Anorexia Nervosa
- Bulimia Nervosa
- Binge Eating Disorder
- Chewing & Spitting food
- Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)
- Disordered Eating Behaviours
- Chronic dieting
Our nutrition rehabilitation model utilises the RAVES principles to support regular, adequate and varied nutritional intake while allowing for spontaneity, socialising and choice.
We integrate closely with recovery teams (GPs/Doctors, therapists etc). We value communication between practitioners, and will advocate for access to services where required.
Contact us for a confidential, obligation-free discussion about your recovery goals.
Weight, Health & Body Image Concerns
Finding food complicated? Not sure what, when or how much to eat?
Struggling with emotional eating, yo-yo dieting or have you been told to lose weight by your doctor?
We help our clients to reconnect with their internal and innate ability to self select and self regulate food.
You’ll never have to rely on a meal or diet plan to know when, what or how much to eat.
Health concerns we work with:
- Eating disorders & disordered eating (including weight concerns)
- Gastrointestinal and/or Functional Digestive disorders (Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis, Coeliac, Irritable Bowel)
- Reproductive – fertility/IVF, pregnancy and post natal support
- Endocrine – Diabetes & pre-diabetes, PCOS, thyroid hormone disturbances
- Chronic health concerns impacting body trust – pain syndromes, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue/ME, migraine, food intolerances and digestive upsets.
Fertility & Pregnancy care
We offer fertility and pregnancy nutrition care for all bodies. You can expect to receive care that is gender affirming & body positive.
Our fertility care is suitable for all bodies and we have a keen interest in supporting folks whom access to reproductive support may be limited or denied on the basis of body weight/BMI.
We are plus sized pregnancy & fat positive fertility providers.
We believe it is possible to fall pregnant, maintain a pregnancy and deliver a baby without having to seek weight loss or engage in dieting/restrictive eating habits to control weight while pregnant.
We can assist with:
- Optimising fertility in ED recovery
- Plus sized pregnancy matters
- Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
- Fertility concerns & IVF support
- Body image concerns & eating disorder behaviours that may arise during pregnancy and postpartum
You are welcome to work with us at ANY stage of your fertility, pregnancy or postpartum journey. However, it is optimal to start thinking about preconception nutrition care approximately 3 months prior to actively trying to fall pregnant.
